The plant was closed for an extra week after the holiday closure so production didn't start again unitl 1/18/21. That may be why there has been no response. The customer service folks are there but they no nothing that you can't find by tracking your vehicle in the owner's lounge. Mine was order 12/11/20 & I was told wouldn't be built until week 5 (that is Feb.7 thereabouts). Brexit treaties caused concern about slowdowns but a treaty was reached before the end of the year. Then the UK went back on lockdown. Factory workers are permitted to go back to work but from what I understand they are down to two shifts instead of 3 which is cutting the number of cars made by a third. Trying to hang in there and stay positive. I have read the owner's manual cover to cover, watched videos, planned trips and today I ordered a female "urinal" for when my drive takes me where bathrooms are not open! Oh that was an interesting bit of research.

 

I had a GP2 and made the worse mistake in selling it. If the GP3 was a manual I would have gone with it. Now I'll probably spend more on this JCW than if I would have gone with the GP3. As long as my wife doesn't know what I'm spending I'll be okay.

 

Or you could just buy her one to match and she might not care....nah, you are probably better off keeping the peace by keeping quiet! Don't ask don't tell works in marriages too so if she doesn't ask you don't have to tell. Or another one I particularly like "it is easier to get forgiveness than permission".

 

Nah. Simply buy the new MINI in the same color as the old MINI. She will never notice. Though, your neighbors might not either.
