iPhone Text Messages in Infotainment

I have been an Android user for the entire time I have had my F56 S and just switched over to an iPhone. Everything is working as expected except that when I get text messages, the phone number is displayed instead of the contact name when I read them. Is this normal with iPhones or am I missing a setting somewhere? With my Android phones, the contact name was always displayed with the text.

I did this to my ‘15 JCW.....

totally happy and fixed a lot of issues I was having.
BTW, EXCELLENT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH! I did a reverse camera along with a lot of other things to update my JCW and I’m super happy with them!

My iPhone used to show contacts but recently it stopped. Have you figured out how to get contact names back instead of just phone numbers?

Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet. It's been low on the priorities and I haven't gotten any responses other than one suggesting to code it.

Since you're saying it worked for you at one point, there's a chance it has to do with something in the newer iOS versions? Did you do an update between when it was working and when it stopped? I have the new iPhone SE so I believe it shipped with iOS 14. Contacts showing up in the infotainment has never worked for me.

I'm guessing the privacy and or bluetooth>sync contacts settings regarding access to the phone contacts was reset. I would try adjusting the privacy settings and bluetooth>sync contacts settings.

For me this quit working back when iPhones updated to iOS 13. I've tried everything to get it working again.
