Auto windshield wipers issue

Hello everyone,

I have a 2020 Cooper and I had my front windshield replace by Safelite (yes they suck shouldn’t of done that) and they replaced it but when the recalibrated my forward collision and rain sensing wipers they now swipe the window when started. I usually leave my wiper stock in the auto position and now when I start the car they swipe and then not again till it rains. My 2017 Cooper used to do that but this 2020 never did before the windshield was replace. Anyone have an idea what is going on?

Simple solution.... BMW/Mini Dealership needs to reset and calibrate the system. Safelite is great for windshield replacement, they have done plenty of work on my Porsche/Mercedes-Benz/Audi/BMW/Mini, but clearly they don’t know how to reset wiper/rain sensors or nav sensors.

Thank you! I thought I would end up having to take it to them. Forward collision works perfectly so far.

Safelite is actually a very reputable company with plenty of experience. I know several people, including MINI owners who have used them with good result. They replaced my windshield three weeks ago, using factory glass, and it is flawless. Everything, including the auto wipers, works as it should.

Absolutely Correct! Like I stated, make sure you use OEM and calibrate at dealership instead of them and you will be good to go. Enjoy

Well they didn’t do mine correct and also put a aftermarket brand on. I have complained and did everything I could for them to fix it and they haven’t.
