first problem - wipers

Yes, I have the auto wipers, and until this morning I liked them a lot. This morning on the way to work, used the window washer/wipers to clean off the dust on the windshield, and the wipers kept going for about a minute (far more than was needed or normal), and stopped halfway up the windshield. Now the windshield is streaked, so I hit the washers again. This time, the washers squirt, but no movement from the wipers, in any position of the stalk. I waited a few minutes (with wet windshield and wipers stuck half way up the windshield), and try again. This time the wipers come on, and don't stop for another minute....

Does this sound like a misc electronic gremlin, or is there a controller issue at the root of the problem? I sent my MA an email, and she is "looking into it" with one of the techs.

Anyone? Any tech people know how these things work or if there is a service bulletin on the wipers?

No TSB's that i'm aware of. Sounds like your Auto Wiper Function is FUBARed or your wiper relay is on its' way out.

Sounds like you need a new wiper motor. There are no bulletins on this. Hope your still under warranty

It was the wiper motor assembly (or so they say). It was replaced today, and it's supposed to rain tomorrow - we'll see if that was the problem.
