Ive recently bought myself at auction a wrecked F55. I plan to work on it myself.
I will soon need to start buying parts to replace the smashed up ones. I see that the sponsor is a minipartsmass.com but the domain seems to be parked and the website inaccessible.
Besides that vendor, is there any other vendor's that i can approach to buy original parts at a good rate?
The car is a F55 Cooper S!
If anyone is aware too... Does the F56 JCW front and rear bumper fit the F55-4 door?
I was given to understand except the parts in between the front and rear wheels (the door section), engine bay and forward (hood, bumpers, headlights) etc are all the same?
Thank you very much in advance folks.. Appreciate the kind help...
ECStuning, FCPEuro, and Tunersports all have very good prices. Back in the day, Pelican-parts is also a player, but they've been bought out by ECStuning.
Of them all, ECStuning is my always go-to because they have the most complete selection of goods, but if you ended up using their free shipping, it can take weeks to get your stuff. I didn't mind it most times because like you I build a lot of these and timing isn't that critical as I've known to stage my parts as work becomes required.
I've had good service from minipartsdirect.com recently. They are the parts side of Flow Mini in Winston-Salem, NC. Their prices are reasonable, and shipping is pretty quick. I had purchased from minipartsmass.com in the past, but as you said, their website has dried up. ECS Tuning is a good resource, also. I mostly purchase aftermarket parts from them.
As for F56 -> F55 comptability, I understand the front bumpers are the same, but rear bumpers are different. Besides the length between the axles, the rear overhang is slightly longer on the F55.
Thanks for the review guys, we are here and if you need something you don't see you can always PM me. We match prices most of the time for Members on here. We also have select Genuine MINI European parts(they take some time to get in on the slow boat) Front bumper yes, rear bumper is different last time I checked. Also we ship worldwide, some to most places dont. We ship to Australia a lot. I would get as much stuff as you can to save on shipping.
For Genuine MINI and aftermarket MINI parts/performance parts we have the most.
Thank you very much for the help Yupetc, njaremka and ECSTuning! Seems ECSTuning is the Go-To guy!
Thank you very much for the heads up on the different rear bumper dimensions too. Thats the thing, whilst they look somewhat similar i did remember reading somewhere that someone attempted a swap and found out the hard way that it would not fit.
I will get my part numbers and required parts and be in touch with ECS Tuning to get a quote on the parts!
Thank you very much once again folks... Wishing everyone health and safety during these terrible times.
@ECSTuning Is there an email address i can reach just to start the dialogue on some part quotes?
I used realoem to check some part numbers but it may not be entirely accurate.
ie: My RHS headlamp doesnt seem to show up as for my car but my RHS headlamp part number is 63118738654. I could only find it on UK based Mini Dealership part sections.
Maybe this part has been replaced by a newer design possibly.
Nonetheless, i can start the dialogue to see what we can get sent in first and take it from there.
The online arm of dealers will frequently be the cheapest for real MINI parts. 20-25% off list price is what I’ve found to be typical. I did contact a dealer that is somewhat close to me to see if they would match the price of the online places and they said yes. I haven’t tried to buy from them yet because they’re more than an hour drive away to pick the parts up.
Last time I checked ESC wasn’t matching discounted dealer pricing. Good to hear they are now.
If you need to get OEM parts like body parts also consider used parts. car-parts.com is a great way to search for parts at salvage yards. The search results will be filtered by distance from you. Prices vary widely so look around. Last summer I bought a engine for a Honda from a place about an hour away that had less miles and was about half the price of a a more local salvage yard. eBay also is a resource for parts.

Just wanted to second this - ECS has always been very accommodating on pricing when I've reached out. Mike has been a huge help on multiple occasions and is always great to chat with! I actually just ordered the JCW alcantara steering wheel and carbon handbrake last week and had no issues with requested price matching.
To OP - as others have said, F56 and F55 rear bumpers (as well as side skirts and rear wing) are not interchangeable and are unique to each model. I was working with another forum member a few years ago on a potential bumper swap and we learned that this wouldn't work... thankfully we found out before meeting up and exchanging parts or that would have been a pretty bad day
Thanks for that info folks. Popular consensus says that ECS should be the way to go. I have been in touch with Michael via email and can move forward from there!
On a separate note, @shmandrew you are correct! I remember reading somewhere that only the F56 front bumper can be exchanged with the F55.
I further did research and i found out that the F55 is not offered by Mini in JCW guise, only Cooper S as the range topper. HOWEVER...
I found on instagram on the insta page of a German MINI dealer a F55 in JCW Spec! (After looking at the pic again, license plate doesnt look German, rather it looks British...)
Ive attached the photos here! It comes complete with the front JCW seats too!
Looks very nice. Maybe JCW is offered in some markets for the F55?
The F55 5-door can be built with JCW appearance package, just not the full blown JCW build option. The JCW appearance package only adds the visual features. It is still just an S model.
Hi @njaremka ! Yes it seems you are correct, thanks for the correction!
The badge at the back still shows Cooper S too! I couldnt seem to find the option to configure the F55 with JCW kit on at www.mini.co.uk so i had mistakenly assumed it was not offered.
Looks very nice indeed! Will hunt up the part numbers and see if its worth considering in the repair of my wreck.
Thanks again for all the valuable input folks! Stay safe and stay healthy!

IN european markets config allows u to spec 3 trim options on any model (classic/exclusive/SPORT)
SPORT adds the JCW appearance items to the car. Any engine/fuel type/door count/
SO technically most of the JCW parts (excluding JCW wheel arches and PRO splitter) can be added. Not going to be cheap to retro fit tho.
I think the aero kit looks great on the Cooper (NON S) but you dont see many here with it.
I agree. My dealer (Vista MINI in Coconut Creek, FL) had one a few years back and it looked great. Identical from the front and sides. The onlyum way to tell it was not an S was from the back, with the single exhaust. I think they did a great job designing the rear bumper.
