sometimes before asking a question like this you should read the topic… if you have hud you have most else your hud cant work… all wires are ready. Just plug and code

 

F55 base 1.5 with the 6" touch screen. No MOST (I think) cable since there is no HUD/nav. From what I've read, you need to update the headunit to NBT or NBT Evo or EntryNAV2. I was intending for a CarPlay/headunit retrofit. The following is what i believe i need.

- Headunit of NBT or NBT Evo or EntryNAV2 (any with MOST port)
- MOST cable
- USB C to Ethernet, Ethernet to OBD
- 62105A49996 Cluster without HID from Seattle mini

Does anyone have an issue where the speedo does not turn off when the car is parked?

I’m having a battery drain issue and trying to debug it - and I can see that although the car is closed and locked, the speedo is still showing the picture of the car and “P”. Is that normal?

[edit] So I’ve confirmed more or less definitively that the digital speedo is what’s causing the power drain. Pulling the fuse on it (or pulling a battery terminal) stops the drain, but if you start the engine and stop again, it begins again.

Has anyone run into this? Bad coding? What could it be?

 

Hello. I have a Mini F56 JCW, I-Step F056-15-07-504 and bought a 6WB Speedo 62105A82428, HW: 01.07.00, SW: 006.001.002, manufactured 29/11/2022 (replacement for 62105A189D6). Unfortunately, all my coding attempts after pressing "Detect CAF for SWE" end with the message "Failed to get CAFs for SWE "swfl_0000668e-006_001_002". [C111] KIS error: Die technische Einheit 0000668E konnte in der KISS-Wissensbasis nicht gefunden werden. [ 1283]" I tried different versions of ESYS and psdzdata Lite. Could anyone help?

 

Hi, You can double check the polarity of the "optic cable" between the HeadUnit & the 6WB machine. If the polarity(blinking red light on Optic cable) is wrong, the eSys will not recognise the 6WB cluster. You can switch the polarity by unclipping the cover over the cable, reversing the poles and reclip the cover over it. Hope this solves your problem.

 

I had the same problem. You need the latest PSdZData.

 

I installed the digital cluster in my F60 and now I can not set the time and date on the NBT EVO (ID6). It does not apply selected values.
Maybe someone knows how to fix this?

Has anyone used EASY MINI CODING for remote coding of their f56? I made an order to have my 2017 Mini Cooper S f56 digital dash coded. They had a coding package for the digital dash $125 USD. Ordered it and got a order and conformation number back. This was Sunday 08/13. As of today no answer and no email. Is this company legitimate? Can’t find where they are located no where. My dash is already installed and waiting on coding. I have the required cable and laptop with windows 11. Can someone advise me on this.

Hello there, I've recently retrofitted and coded the digital cluster into my Mini Cooper S 2015 F55. Everything works fine, except one minor thing. When I'm playing music through bluetooth from my phone, when I have my HUD up the song name shows up on the HUD and I'm able to change to the next track or previous track through the steering wheel buttons as usual. But when I turn off my HUD and try changing tracks, the menu pops up on the instrument cluser with the song name and all, but pressing OK doesn't do anything. Is this a thing that's supposed to be coded afterwards after changing out the instrument cluster?

 

Just wanted to say that Sambir was awesome with coding the digital dash display. Really fast because he knows what he is doing. I can vouch for him if anyone is on the fence on remote coding with him. Thanks again bro!!

 

They just superseded the Genuine MINI JCW GP3 display part number, if you are looking for one its 62105A82428 now. Now part number 62105B39298

Most of the clusters are NLA, this is one of the few to get.

Hello, i have the same issue with exactly same part number of 6WB Digital Cluster (62105A82428), finally i done coding following this video but you need to input all values manually in KOMBI section clicking on edit button before pressing "Detect CAF for SWE", the reason for this is that the referenced psdzdata in video is for diferent part number for this case (62105A33B70), i can confirm that this process works fine because is tested in my mini copper F56 2016 with same part number (62105A82428) and is fully functional, if you need more detail or help please feel free to contact me.

Firstly I wanted to that you all for this awesome thread!

I also decided to go with the LCD speedo. I installed it, but I am having problem in coding. In step 19 the "I-Step" is F056-23-07-570, but the CAFD selection available, does not contain the needed version. (Photo attached)
I cannot think of anything else to do since I think I have the latest PSdZData version 4.45.25
Any ideas?
Should I try to code it with either of the two versions available? (shown in picture)

Hi there,

I have the TokenMaster's launcher (2.8.1.155) running the most latest supported esys ver of 3.30.1.
Other people are running 3.33.4 but that requires a newer launcher such as bimmerutilies as the TM's last "free" launcher expired around 2021 or so.
Launcher 2.8.1.155 can only run up to E-SYS 3.30.1.

I do have the psd 4.28.41 and 4.39.21 files which should support iSTEP at least of 2103 but I'm not sure if using esys version 3.30.1 can run the CAFD process without issue.

Could I please kindly ask for your advice?

Where can I get the software I need to accomplish the coding. I've clicked on many of the links in the forum and they all say bad. I'm assuming they are too old. I'm sorry if this is a repeat question. I'm trying really hard to find this myself but pretty scared I'm going to download the wrong stuff.
