MCS - AT and Launch control questions

Hi all! I have seen a post here about "which particular transmission car has".

1) So which AT my 2016 MCS has. So at the time when my car was configured in 2016 either by MINI or a customer, the regular steering wheel was picked that didn't include paddle shifters. Maybe in 2016 the JCW steering wheel was a paid option... I tested non S MINI Cooper with similar looking AT shifter but moving it to manual didn't increase RPM.

2) So when I put my car in Sport, it activates dynamic dampening and when I move the shifter to the manual position, RPM goes up a by 200 or so.
I believe below is the transmission my vehicle is equipped with:
01 Automatic transmission Eh GA6F21AW - EIE 1 Up to 07/2017 24008685204

3) I know that JCW or another MINI steering wheel may come with paddle shifters but regular doesn't.
Now is the ultimate question: If customer didn't choose steering wheel with paddle shifters on Cooper S model, could it be that transmission settings would still set as Sport Automatic Transmission regardless of steering wheel option? If yes, how can I test it?

4)
Which car comes with launch control?

To my knowledge, the sport transmission is just coding, and it is something that can be done with Bimmercode. As for the launch control, I have googled it in the past, and there is info out there. That is probably your best bet.

I will check the app + I guess there is a certified ODB2 scanner that needs to be used. I will try to test launch control on my car. If it doesn't have it, hope I won't damage anything by pressing brake and gas pedals at the same time

I have watched couple of YouTube videos on how to do launch control and tried that in my vehicle.

1) I pressed tracking toggle, so dynamic stability control was active and word tracking with exclamation point was displayed
2) Put my car into Sport mode
3) I switched my auto transmission lever to S mode
4) One foot on the brake and the other on the gas
All I felt is that front of the car wants to go, but brakes hold it. What does it mean, no launch control or am I doing something wrong?
