Reverse light bulbs

Has anyone replaced the standard reverse light bulbs with something brighter?
I find mine are so bad that when reversing down my drive i can't tell they're actually on :(
On previous cars i've found the standard bulbs to be brighter, on 1 car i upgraded to led which looked whiter but didn't give out any more light so that was a waste of time

Although I haven't done it, these seem to be problem free. And if you code them out you won't get the start up hyper flashing.

Thanks Minnie - i don't have a working OBD to use Bimmercode, maybe there are other bulbs that don't cause the flashing?

I ordered these before i saw your reply - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323872741517 i'll let you know how these work out

Well bulbs arrived yesterday but i can't get the holders out to change them over? The holders come out of the units but there's not enough room to get them past the boxes in the side panels - do you have to remove the lights and take them out from the front?

I also found my rear lights have halogen bulbs? i though with it having led front lights the rears would be led (2018my)

I bought the ECS ones. Put them in yesterday. The driver side unit took a bit of twisting to get out after pushing the tabs together. I had to get it past a wire that was in the way. The passenger side came out very simply, didn't even have to look while taking it out. Very simple, do not remove the lights from the front. You can look at newtis.info for pictures if you need it.

Do you have the pro exhaust fitted? my LHS has a module behind the panel which is in the way, the RHS also has a smaller module - i'm not sure but i think the RHS 1 is the pro exhaust module - not sure what the other is?

I thought it might be easier to get them out from the front - remove surround, remove 3 screws and pull out i think?

No extra bits in mine, but I did have to turn it to get it out. Can't you unfasten module?

Not sure - didn't want to drop a bolt and have to remove the panel to find it again

Just pop them into the old housing and bam you have bright lights, when I saw them in our studio, i knew they would help people backing up.
