Footwell + glovebox light fitting

Hi
I picked up a 2018 Cooper S works 210 yesterday which has a strange mix of options.
The interior is basic in what i'd expect to be standard and i was hoping for some guides if it's possible to upgrade using genuine Mini parts for the factory look

I'm wanting to fit

1. Glovebox light - there's a hole there but no light, will the wiring be behind the glovebox?
2. Footwell lights - is the wiring tucked away somewhere so i can just plug in some lights?
3. Overhead lights - mine has the basic 1 light which comes on with the door open, i bought a panel with the toggle switches and map reading lights but the plugs are a different size - is there an adaptor available?

If i can get these fitted will they need to be coded to the car?

Thanks

1. yeah you can install a light lamp, you can find a good 12-led bright lamp at aliexpress with original BMW number 63316972605, but a small problem that car's without a lightness pack does not have a pin9 connection in X434*1B connector that connects a glovebox lamp to power. But you can easily connect it by itself, here is I post a detailed instruction

No coding needed!

Hi, thanks for the reply
I don't understand Russian so can't read the post you linked to and aren't techy so not quite sure on the wiring diagram :(
Do you mean a pin can be added to the X434 block or the block with a pin 9 can be swapped with mine?
I was thinking of connecting to my dashcam cables which the live is piggybacked to a switch live in the fusebox?

I mean that you can cut and connect a red/yellow wire from pin9 of X434*1B directly to Z7*4B. because it's too difficult to add a new pin X434*1B connector and install X107*1V shunt

P.S: In the next step I'll install a footwell lights.

Have you got the basic light in the headliner or the 1 with the seperate lights and toggle switches?

I have this one:

If I understand correctly an ETK information, The one lamp in headliner (code: 63319263439) had installed in earlier car versions (pre Nov/14) and in the cars without panoramic sunroof (S402A), Excitement pack (S4V9A), light pack (S563A) options.

Mini is item 1 - i want to change this to item 2 but the plug connector is different

You photo look like a front light unit with Excitement package (correct Code 63 31 9365102) and in cars with light package a front headliner lamp use a LIN bus to send signals, therefore you cant simply change lamp type 1 to type 2. But for the glovebox light you have an easiest way to check the possibility of light installation. Remove glovebox, and if you found a door switch and lamp connector you can add a light into glovebox.

Mine is the basic light unit, no additional lights on the car interior. I thought the excitement package had the colour change options (with toggle switch control like item 2) and door lights?
I've been trying to source an adapter to convert my wiring plug to fit the option 2 light so i can have the centre light and small light at each end
