Smallest wheels possible on F55 S

I have a 2016 F55 S model with factory 16” wheels. I’m looking to go smaller wheels and bigger tires. Can I go any smaller then 16” on an S?

thanks

Now there's a question that I don't think has ever been asked! Curious as to why? Trying to improve the ride, or?

Mostly becasue I just like the look of thick tires, but I more ride comfort is a plus.

Haha cool, me too. But 16" was small enough for me. If you want more comfort, check if yours are runflats. Non-runflats will ride better. Also, you could probably go one size up on sidewall height without drawbacks. I kinda don't think a 15 will fit. If you have a friend at the dealer you could see if they would test fit one from the base model. Or just eyeball it yourself- you'll need over a 1/2" of free space outside the caliper. Guessing it isn't there. Last thing to consider is tire choice in 15"- there might not be much.

you need to look at the internal clearance of the wheel in question vs the rotor diameter and what the brake adds . . .

You'll never get close to me tho

10" ... 6 wide

Now those are small wheels!!

I took a peek under my 16ers... just eyeballing, I don't think there's 1/2" left between caliper and inner rim. Depends on wheel design, but it would be really, really close if it does work. I think you're going to struggle.

You win! I love the look of that wheel / tire combo. Nice!

Haha no idea why I didn’t just go and look at it. You guys are right, I’m pretty sure anything smaller than 16” isn’t going to work.

Doubt 15" wheels would fit. You can definitely get tires with a larger sidewall, however, say 205/55-16. That'll help correct the optimistic speedometer, too.

Not sure if the brake calipers are the same for the F55 vs the F56 but it definitely looks like 15" will fit non-S F56.

Oh I didn't read the title ha! You have an S which I believe has bigger calipers & rotors than the Justa so yea...probably won't fit unless you swap the brakes.
