Weight Cooper F56 Auto: MINUUSA 2,690lbs, vehicle sticker 3,620lbs

MINU USA says a Cooper F56 auto weighs 2,690 lbs. But the GVW on a newly purchased one says 3,620 lbs on the door jam sticker. Any ideas why the difference?

I think that means you can have a driver and co-driver that weighs about 550lbs each!

Or perhaps this:
The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or gross vehicle mass (GVM) is the maximum operating weight/mass of a vehicle as specified by the manufacturer including the vehicle's chassis, body, engine, engine fluids, fuel, accessories, driver, passengers and cargo but excluding that of any trailers. The term is used for motor vehicles and trains.

Yeah, that's the weight (limit) of the car plus anything you have in it.

So you can go to Home Depot and load thirty or so 30# bags of mulch like I do

Oh man, that all makes perfect sense! Mulch... it is that time of year! I have an '11 Clubman and had 9 or 10 big mulch bags too. One in the front seat. Thank goodness the bags were not leaking. Thanks again for the help!

I've gotten 26 bags of cypress mulch in my 2015 w/ the rear seats folded flat. Probably could have stacked 4 more on the passenger seat...

Don't forget to put an old bed sheet down before loading.

I would never carry mulch in my car again. The one and only time I carried mulch in my car it got soaked. The guy at Home depot loaded it into the trunk. The bags did not look wet at all. The first turn out to the street and I hear water gushing. The bags must've dumped over a gallon of water into the car.
