Bluetooth Pairing

Hi all,
Just bought a pre-owned 2015 2-door Hatchback and just joined the group. I am still learning the features/operations and came to an issue with bloothtooth pairing. I followed the guidelines step-by-step and apparantly my Mini doesn,t "like" my Samsung Galaxy Note9 Smartphone, My Mini is a base model equipped with Radio 2.0 NOT "Mini Connected" equipped

The Note9 does recognize my Minis Bluetooth as it lists it in the available devices and gives it a pairing code. However, on the Mini side I don;t get any thing coming up on the screen to input the pairing code from the phone. I checked comparability from https://www.mini.com/connectivity and the result was "ssl.mini.com refused to connect"

Has anyone run into this issue pairing with the Samsung Galaxy Note9? I,m thinking since the Note9 came out in 2018 and my Mini is a 2015 then maybe a software upgrade to my Mini is necessary. Any insight would greatly be appreciated

Same issue here. I get ssl.mini.com connection refused. I wish Mini would fix the website: https://www.mini.com/connectivity-us

Thanks for the reply. I'm taking it to the Mini dealer to check if it needs a software update and other issues with this car

@super6 Does the MINI see the phone at all when you go to pair a device? I've ran into a lot of these issue back when I was delivering MINIs everyday around 2015. They we're a bit finicky, but could usually get them to work.

After several attemps to pair my Samsung Galaxy Note9 with my Mini, on 1 attempt the phone actually recognized the Mini and gave me a pairing code but I didn't know how to enter the code into the car
