Just got our new Mini Cooper S 08, tried our phones for the mobile connect. Blackberry worked great paired, including phone book transfer. But my top of the line LG Shine bought in December will pair with the car but will not make phone calls through the car. It transfers the call to only the phone, but not through the car. No phone book either. My son's LG chocolate 8600 works fine, why not the newer fancier version. No software update available, dealer says should work. Helppp!

 

Seems to match the problems covered in the Bluetooth compatibility thread, doesn't sound like there's much that can be done.

'Should' is the polite word used when they mean "probably, but I don't know for certain".

 

It just seems so confusing when your Mini dealer says that the phone is approved for compatabilty but as it turns out its not working properly,
