Good to see you're also lurking in the 3rd gen forum, too, Grumps! Thanks for the great advice. BTW, my 2nd gen with the JCW turbo and RPM stage 2 tune runs great! but I'm trying to phase out and sell my 2nd gens and currently am working on the 3rd gen build. These cars are fun and addicting for tinkering with.

I totally agree, there are distinct pros and cons with each generation leap, and they are generally heading into better overall offering as a package. I realized there's a lot more heat and noise shielding with the F56 vs the R56, this makes it tactful to work with the engine bay. But every part has its unique practical design for multiple purpose. This makes putting it back together more sensible, it's like snapping lego pieces together.
Well, updating everyone here, I finally got the spring clips in position on both sides with the help of sticking some screwdrivers under the spring and just keep it cocked in place. Then I use more screwdrivers (flat head) to pry at the joint to help, that did the trick. I guess my piping got stuck in place tighter than a simple pull can do. Anyways, thanks everyone for the help.

When El Grunto and I did his fmic, I had a heck of a time releasing the charge pipes the first time. It was a nightmare for an hour or two. Then I kind of figured it out, they are nit-picky, lol. That made doing the hard pipes later much easier.

The intake pipe allows for cool sounds due to the lack of a resonator but the intercooler pipes won't get your butt dyno to notice anything different. I'm sure if you're doing a custom dyno tune you'd be able to squeeze a little more out if you were previously limited by airflow.
Is this upgrade worth it, noticeable improvements etc?
You won't get noticeable horsepower improvements, but if you are going to modify the engine for performance at all, I'd say the intercooler is always the first step. Even without modifying planned ahead, the upgraded intercooler will bring you much better cooling efficiency on the charged air. This makes it a strong engine safety mod even if you're just running it in stock form.

I just replaced my intercooler however I broke the metal spring clamps that go on the ends of the pipes. are those replaceable anywhere? or did they come with your FORGE pipes? I have all my seals I literally just don't have the clips

I have found that on the metal clips I focus on getting the square flange tab out of the connector and resting on the flange of the coupler. I know a lot of people work on the two indented spring clip ends. The square spring flange can hang on the coupler tube. If you work it so the square flange can rest on the exterior of the boost connector it is easier to uncouple the pipe. The photo also shows arrows for the seals that you can't forget to reinstall.
