Glad to see this special edition comes in standard shift, I was beginning to think they aren’t building them anymore, almost every car in the dealer’s inventory is an automatic, the true fun of the MINI is slowly being stripped away, rev matching, automatic clutch braking, automatic engine stop and start, wish I’d kept my R50.
Yeah my 2007 MCS was manual, my 2014 JCW Coupe is automatic. But I don't miss it that much to be honest. The car freaking hauls as* is what I like about it, and it's very tight cornering. Unlike the standard suspension 2015 F56 MCS my friend had that had WAY more body roll than my car. I do like the looks of the Gen3 2 door cars, AND the Countryman.
I LOVE that color. If it's not coming to U.S., that's a real pity. They need to at least make that color available. That isn't the BRG we get in the U.S.
Evo UK has an article with beautiful Black roof S model with rally lights which I really like.
It looks less classic but very cool. Check out below link for an article + more pictures:
The only thing which is cool about this car is the leather upholstery, especially the green drill piping. The rest ist MINI Online DIY parts, the wheels are very uncool (imho) however ugly unique .
From a perspective of celebratory heritage, I think the classic almond green (or variant thereof) would have been a better choice in the historical sense.
