Cat delete

Hello all,
New Gen 3 owner. Quick question. Does the f56 have a second non monitored cat that sits in front of the resonator like previous gens? If so, Has anyone done it on their f56?
Sorry my car isn't in front of me now or I'd look myself.
Thanks!

F56 only has one cat in the downpipe. Single resonator in the mid pipe.

I have a 17' F56 MCS and my exhaust had a second non monitored cat right before the res.. I'd 3" pipe from dp back with second cat delete, replaced the factory res wit an after market then muffler delete.. but I also live in California so maybe mine required a secondary cat

I believe the US has 2 cats (one on the downpipe {sensored} and one right before the resonator) and the euro models have one. Remember seeing it on a thread on here.

My 2016 US F56 only had one cat, I installed a full custom exhaust and don’t have a second cat. Maybe it was added after that year.

Mine is a 2015. I had two before I started modding. So now I'm catless. I don't have the picture of the original downpipe or exhaust with me now to show the original cats.
I bought mine in Florida.

Then I have no idea. I bought mine used in Florida as well but the exhaust I took out was all one piece oem. Only had 1 cat in the downpipe. Maybe it was changed before I got it.

I've had 3 exhausts on my 2014 S. All came from California. All have a small 2nd cat. They are: original OEM S exhaust, OEM JCW exhaust, and JCW Pro exhaust.

I've also heard that there is no 2nd cat in Europe.

the second cat is after the downpipe, not part of it

All US B46 and B48 Cooper S have a primary cat in the downpipe and a secondary cat in the midpipe right after the downpipe. This had to be done to meet California emissions requirements and instead of offering multiple options for emissions compliance cars in the US they just produced them all to comply with California.

ROW B46 and B48's have only 1 cat in the downpipe.

The 2nd cat is not monitored and every catback for a US car deletes the 2nd cat with the exception of the JCW tuning kit exhaust. If you want to retain the stock rear muffer and tips you only options are either a custom exhaust job cutting off the 2nd cat or the only companies that will sell the front section of their exhaust is Remus or Milltek.
