My ordered Mini has just today moved to the step "Scheduled for Production" I did this back in 2007 but of course that was 11 years ago and things change.. My question is for those that have ordered and followed this progress - aprox how long once your car got into Production did it take to move to the next step = "awaiting Transport"? Last time most everyone ordered, today, not so much - I wanted a 6 speed = wow, try to find those on the lot? LOL>.. both my dealer (East Bay Mini) and San Jose, Calif ( Stevens Creek MIni) NO 6 speeds on the lot,,, was told most people today want an Automatic, Not me.

 

Answered my own question by calling 866-275-6464 and have production number ready.

 

My JCW went from "scheduled for production" to "awaiting transport" in under two weeks. FWIW the ASK MINI phone support is much more accurate than tracking via the Owner's Lounge online. Once your MINI is aboard ship you can track its progress online, which is a lot of fun too.
