Has anyone successfully removed the Chrome exhaust tips on an F55? I've tried all the tips with driving around then spraying water on the pipe, not the tips and hammering with a mallet. Nothing seems to move these tips. They don't have a screw btw. I'm thinking the only way is to cut them with a snip cutter. But they may be too thick. Does anyone know if this will work. How thick they're and what tool to use.
I'm trying to install the JCW exhaust tips instead.

Just had the tip on my F56 removed when I deleted the muffler. Had straight pipe installed as well as a 3.5" black tip I purchased from ECS Tuning. Someone I know wanted the tip for a project. In order to get it off, I had to cut it. Note: I didnt actually cut the exhaust tip, just the pipe that led from the muffler that the tip was attached to.
