Fogs are in BDC_Body if I remember correctly, expert mode though

 

 

It worked in my wifes 2016 F55. USB was Fat32 and the video was mp4. I just downloaded some sample animated clip from the internet. It's a pretty useless feature for her, as in she never uses it.

 

I've got the European Union Jack lights installed - coded out all the light errors. My brake force display was coded for the increased area - which, where the amber signal lights light up solid along with the brake lights under heavy breaking. I changed it to blinking, and it worked by making the amber turn signals flash under hard braking. Unfortunately, it also gives me a light failure error message on my dash. I switched back to the stock expanded area since I don't know what else I need to code to make this work.

 

No! 17 lease! Please direct!

 

I’ve got a 17, upgraded front light package w fogs but not rear fogs... and it’s a lease. Can I code such things as the brake force tails to flash and extending the blinks when tipping stalk? Can I, as in I have a lease.

 

Bad news, y'all. After updating to the latest software on my 2015 F56 last week, I successfully recoded all my bimmercode mods...except one. No matter what I tried, I couldn't increase the blinker from 3 to 5 flashes. I emailed Stephan to see what I was doing wrong. He replied that BMW has now restricted the flashes to 3 max. What are they thinking? That's the top mod on my list. Does anybody know why BMW would do this or how we could encourage them to remove the restriction?

 

I hope this is the right place to ask - I have downloaded Bimmercode and have the Vgate Pro Wifi. I've tried on an iPad and iPhone - I get connected just fine, but when I launch Bimmercode and hit connect, it reads the VIN and moves on the reading ECU's, then it gets about 1/4 of the way through and stops, then I get a timeout - every time. I've rebooted, removed and re-installed the app, unplugged the module, started and restarted the car - every time it times out. Mine is a 2018 Cooper S.

I also downloaded the Vgate recommended app Auto Doctor and that seems to work fine - gives me info about the car and temp, etc. - just not a coding app.

Any ideas with Bimmercode?

 

I think there is a slow connection option in the app. I just dont remember if its before or after it gets connected

 

If the slow option doesn't work you may have a faulty Vgate. I tried the slow option on mine at one point and it was very slow. Also make sure you don't have interference from wifi network.

I used this one "Vgate Wifi iCar2 OBDII Elm327 Code Reader for IOS iPhone iPad Android PC,Auto Sleep" worked perfectly.

None of this works for you, try emailing Bimmercode, owner is very responsive to questions.

 

anyone figure out how to turn off the traction control warning text in the main screen when you turn it off?

 

Just picked up my 2019 JCW, and I could set 5 flashes within the factory settings.

 

Can DSC parameters be changed in this expert mode? The ability to disable the eLSD seems to be the only thing I need that isn't in these easy to use app driven coding solutions.

I'm still hunting for rear wheel arch light disabling coding..

 

Actually the one within the fog light housing. It's the little 194 bulb I want to disable. BTW, thanks for the sidemarker. Might do that too

Anyone know if the quick tap turn signal number of blinks is still locked at 3, no matter what you enter? I'd like 4,5, or 6....I found the option in the non-expert mode, and no matter which # I select, they always stay at 3 x blinks

I cant find the option in the non-expert mode, under what main module is it under, and whats it called? Seems different for every car people talk about here?

OOPS!! ****, I just realized im in the entirely wrong thread!!!!!! Odd, because I found this thread via googling BMW codes and as far as I can remember, there were BMW guys talking on the first couple of pages!

 

 

I can’t seem to find any settings for my F60(18 CMS). What ecu should i be opening to do enable led door handle lights on reverse, fogs with highbeams and/or parking lights, windows up/down via FOB? TIA!!

 

I have changed instrument cluster BC1_ENABLE to aktiv to change the cluster display to show fuel information: distance to empty fuel mileage and speed. "Empty menu Item in board computer" is set to aktiv.
Everything seemed to be running properly until the next time that I went to fill up the gas tank. The fuel tank would not take gas and overflow even though it was empty, almost as though there was an issue with the fuel tank breather solenoid...
Have you seen this before? Any suggestions?? I have changed BC1_ENABLE back to nicht_aktiv and the fuel fills properly
