Well, I originally ordered a 2016 JCW but the order ended up getting stalled for some reason and is now apparently a 2017. I didn't see another one, so let's give starting a replica of the original thread where I posted this for 2017 a try . I went with a JCW Hardtop in Metalic White Silver with:

Black Roof and Mirror Caps
Storage Package
Heated Front Seats
harman kardon Premium System
Sport seats
LED Headlights w/Cornering
Piano Black Center Instrument Trim

866-ASK-MINI says scheduled for production with no date at this point, but my MA says it should go into production in 2-3 weeks after some factory changes.

According to an article posted on MotorTrend.com today, the mini boost package is stock for 2017 and the price is up $250.

I ordered my JCW at the end of May. Last Friday I finally got a VIN number but have yet to get a production date. It says it's going to be a 2016 so maybe I got one of the last '16 slots.

 

That's when I ordered mine as well. I apparently had one of the last 2 US-bound JCW slots, but it seems I've been bumped. I don't have a VIN still and my order now shows 2017 (and an "Excitement Package" that wasn't previously there).

I ordered my Clubman during a production switch over too, and it didn't come until August. Hopefully this one will come sooner than that.

Do you know when the shut down is? I heard August but I am not sure. My MA said mine was going to start production around June 24-26 which is 1 month from when I ordered it. I live on the West Coast so it will take another month to cross the pond and go thru the canal so I figure I will get it the first or second week in August.

 

Not sure. It was in the end of July when I got my 2013.

 

I believe June 29th is the last day for MY2016 production and MY2017 production kicks off the first or second week of July.

 

Sounds about right. Mine finally moved to "in production" and has a scheduled completion date of 7/12! Woot!

 

How do you see the scheduled completion date? is that shown on the Mini Lounge tracker?

 

I don't think you can see it in the lounge. You have to call 866-ASK-MINI to get that part.

Ooh sweet, 866-ASK-MINI now says "your vehicle is in the body shop" instead of "your vehicle is scheduled for production". The estimated completion date moved up from the 12th to the 11th too. Red letter day!

Just picked up mine today!

 

Drove my 2016 s convertible home 3 Fridays ago, and can't stop driving... I love this car.

Had to take the Prius out once to make sure the battery didn't die... it was like driving in mud.






Drove mine home 3 weeks ago. Not a day goes by where o dont drive it. Love this car!!!

 

Your convertible is absolutely gorgeous. The BRG and leather really compliment each other!

 

Well, looks like mine is out of production and waiting to be released to the carrier. I'm assuming this will be coming through Baltimore like my last one. Anyone else looking like they'll be riding together?

My '16 JCW was completed on 6/27 and has been at the port waiting for a ride since 6/30. (Almost 2 weeks... that's ridiculous!!!) Mine has got to go thru the Panama Canal so I don't think they would be on the same ship. I was just joking with my MA that if my car sits there any longer it is going to have a British accent since it has been sitting there so long.

 

Mine has been released to the carrier and is awaiting transport to the port of exit. My MA seems to have left the dealership, but that new one seems to feel like it'll be a month or more before it is here for me :(. Oh the waiting!

I would think 3-4 weeks. My JCW sat at the port for 12 days before it made it on a ship. Then has to go through the Panama Canal then to Cali and that trip would take 22 days. A few days at the VDC then 3 days transit to Washington state. Looks like we might be enjoying our JCWs around the same time!!

 

Mine is at the port now. Nothing in the WW system yet, so it's hard to tell when it might be headed out.

I've been checking the Owner's Lounge and it's been stuck on awaiting transport for 14 days. I texted my MA this morning and he found some more info. It's been shipped! Actually on a ship since 07/21. I checked the shipping company website and it's due for delivery at the port in NY on 07/30. So I figure a few weeks after the 30th before i receive it. Maybe mid August.

 

Yeah, mine still shows as waiting for transport too. The 866-ASK-MINI number is consistent with that as well. I learned the last time I ordered to hit the WW site daily when the car hits that point, and that's how I found that mine had shipped. I was driving my Clubman within a week of it arriving in Baltimore, but I might have lucked out on that one. I'm conservatively hoping for 2 weeks or less from arrival
