Does anyone know if these are the same no matter the model cooper? I have them on my CMS and it would be awesome if they'll fit on the factory rails coming on my JCW. I've been trying to find specs on these to compare to mine, but have yet to do so.
Yours only fit the Countrman / Pacaman with roof rails.
Most people pair them with rockymounts for bikes and stuff as they have multiple colors
Quick question: do you know which RockyMount hardware I'd need to mount to these rails? It is unclear from their site. My RockyMount tray came with the Yakima/Thule Round/square bar hardware. I have other trays (Thule Bigmouth, 1up tray), but I prefer fork mounted on my road bikes.
Edit: Nevermind, apparently I need the hardware that goes with the Euro Pitchfork. That hardware will run ~$20 from Rocky Mount.
I really don't like the look of any of the racks if you don't have the factory roof rails, and a buddy convinced me to get a SeaSucker. Ordering mine soon. Great option for us, and they do a lot with Minis. https://www.seasucker.com/
I had heard that the Euro pitchfork needs to be manually shortened in order to open the boot or the spoiler will hit? Anyone have any knowledge on this?
Now, I need to buy the bar that holds the bike and thats where I am having some issues, I have seems the have different models and sizes, I need to get one that can clear the sunroof open, any advise please?
BTW the rack is for a road bike and the mini is a 3 door S

Thanks guys!
Sounds great! I'll check with our tech expert on your question.
There is plenty of space below the bars to clear the sunroof glass when opened - at least with Yakima attachments. If the mounting bracket of another brand of attachment extends down further than the Yakima brackets, we can't guarantee that all accessories will clear.
One word of caution - some of the 'bike tray' type attachments can interfere with the rear hatch when opened all the way. You need to find a tray that doesn't extend too far back, or you can modify the bike tray if it is too long (there is usually a lot of extra length and fairly easy to trim).

Hi there,
Thank you so much! question, by any chance do you know which bike tray doesn't extend too far back?
We don't have information on that, but a fellow NAM poster had success with this model:
"Had to adapt...
Factory MINI roof support with RockyMounts Euro Pitchfork rack on my 2015 F56. My friend sawed off 2" from the back of the rack as it would hit the trunk when fully opened. FYI, he said it was really easy to cut through in case others want to try."

Thule XT Canyon roof basket on Mini rails. Thanks to ECS for the rails and Amazon Prime for the basket. I like the look considering all the options out there...this will work well for us when we take the kids (pups) on road trips in the future. Once the basket is mounted, I was able to remove the rails and basket in one fell swoop making it somewhat easy to take on and off. The basket makes a good bit of noise, so it'll be put on only when needed. Overall, I'm happy with it.
Sorry...not sure why those two pics are posting sideways, must have something to do with the orientation of the phone when I took the pics.
Reviving this old thread with a question. I have a new F56 with roof rails incoming and intend to use the OEM crossbars with Rockymounts wheel off trays. On my two previous R56's with OEM racks I found mounting the rack kind of a pain so I left it on all the time.
The new F model system "looks" simpler, is the rack easy to take on and off as one piece? I'd really like to leave it off when I'm not using it. My 911 OEM rack weighs 20 lbs or less with bike trays and is easy for one person to lift on and off.

It isn't heavy, but I think trying to wield 2 crossbars and 2 trays while all attached together might result in some roof scratches or dents.
I'm not too concerned about that, I can easily wield the Porsche one. What I want to know is how easy is mounting the crossbars to the rails? Looks as if they just clamp around the rails.

Easy. Loosen the clamps, set the crossbar to the rail, set the clamp to the rail, tighten the clamp. No tools required.
One more question. Is there a specific spot on the roof rails you're supposed to use or can you just clamp it anywhere along its length? It would be nice to be able to adjust the spacing of the crossbars to match the accessories you're using. Thanks.

The 3rd pic I posted shows that it has recommended positions. That said, I would spread them out a lot more on a roof cargo carrier versus a bike tray.
