Front Strut Tower Tie-Bar

I have recently updated the rear sway bar on my MINI and I'm looking for the next mod. I would like to add a front strut tower tie-bar but can't convince myself it's worth the time and money. The question to anyone who has added one, did it improve cornering performance? I'm considering the NM Engineering 2 point tie-bar. Any installed out there?

We sell them, but you won't notice any improvement with it. Save your money for other mods that will be better money spent.

Forget the strut tower bar. Get the Big Pair from Cravenspeed.

Random trivia. The new platform mate BMW X1 uses a simple strut-tower bar with square tubing to connect the strut towers. Apparently BMW thought it helpful with that cars extra mass.

Isn't the X1 also wider?

I did a little searching today and found a company called Ultra Racing they make a strut tower bar for the F56 at a more reasonable price.

Noticeable improvement with these? Been eyeing them for a while.

Definitely a big difference. More rigidity and steering response.

+1 on the Big Pair. But, I'll still be adding the strut tower brace after I finish all the other suspension mods.

Hey Ryephile,

I found what you are talking about. It seems they are adding a lot of bracing. The Ultra Racing site has been real helpful.
