Roof Racks?
Nevermind... seems racks & accessories are a dealer-installed item now, not something to include when doing a BTO schedule.
Pods're pricier than when I bought mine back in '07 but you can get black now where back then it was silver-only. Not sure black'd be a good idea considering how hot they'd get in summer sun.

MINIUSA replied to my query that I ought to talk to the parts manager at a dealership. Racks aren't BTO accessories anymore, but can be obtained thru dealers.
Anybody know if newer (than 2007) racks use the same metric-thread T-bolts as the luggage pod I have (from 'early '07)? Be great to continue to use that 'pod over dropping $560+ on a newer design that does the exact same thing.

The T bolt should be the same , they continued use the same set up on the factory racks. The old Pods or sled Roof container the newer MINIs. Linked :
