Does anyone have wiring diagrams for the r56? Specifically I am looking for a diagram for the MFSW in the steering wheel and also one for the radio harness.

 

I've been looking for one of the radio harness as well. So far I haven't had any luck. I've seen folks link to threads that had them once upon a time, but the images are all broken now.

So yeah, I'm seconding the call for the radio harness diagram. If anyone has one they could share, it would be greatly appreciated!

The definitive wiring reference is the official BMW WDS interactive software used by dealers and repair shops. An old version is available cheap on DVD from eBay (search BMW WDS). It only covers up to 2008 model year but most of the wiring stayed the same and much of it still applies to later years.

After 2008, BMW moved service documents to online subscription: https://www.minitis.com/ ($30 for 1 day access). This is always complete and up to date.

 

I have a digital copy (.iso) of those manuals. PM me and I'll figure out how to get it downloadable to you
