2015 / 2016 Sport Package
Hello all,
On the 2015 / 2016 Cooper S 4dr, I can't decide if I should get the Sport Package or not. My last mini did not have it, because I didn't want an excessively rough suspension. The package details on MINIUSA don't seem to say anything about a firmer suspension... Just the Dynamic Damper Control.
If I get the sport package, will it feel the same as the non-sport, as long as it's not in super sport mode or whatever they call it?
Thanks!

I have the Sport Package and in it (for 2015) was the LED lighting (a must for me), sport seats (which I find comfy), and the dynamic damper control. There is a ring around the shifter that I can flip modes. It defaults to "Mid" driving mode and that is very livable, even with 17" wheels and 45 series run-flats. I am delighted as I can race through turns and still not have an aching bone jarring ride. Not as track ready as the sport suspension, but I drive on potholed streets. Hope that helps you.

Thanks for both of the replies - I appreciate you taking the time. It sounds like this is exactly what I'm looking for. The LED lights are tough to find on their own, and I definitely want them. I don't want a crazy rough suspension, but selectable modes seems like just the ticket for me.

Good to know. After having my '93 Miata LE for two years, I wanted something a bit more forgiving. I've found the term "bone jarring" definitely linked to age; mine

I have the sport package with the DDC and it rides very comfortably in normal mode and firms up very nice in sport mode. I wouldnt want to ride around all day in sport mode. However you can control what gets turned on in sport mode in the center computer. So if you want the sport engine tuning but not the suspension you can turn the suspension off and it will stay in normal when you hit the sport button.
Hope that was understandable.
