Opinions from owners that bought the JCW tuner upgrade.

I am looking for opinions from owners that have had the JCW tune ( including exhaust) installed. Has it caused any problems? Has it negatively effected your MPG while cruising? Do you still like the sound? I am considering this upgrade for my '15S hardtop. Thanks

I've had no issues over the last 5-6k miles its been installed. Have noticed no difference in gas mileage, and I leave the exhaust in the "track" mode because the sound it makes is awesome! There is no drone on the highway.

I dont think its overly loud...in fact, I feel like most aftermarket performance exhaust systems are still louder.

I dont really notice the extra power anymore, that was not the main reason I got this in the first place.

I too installed the JCW Tune kit about 4 months ago and love it! As was said, there is no drone, and it sounds great! My only issue is that the "Pops" can be quite loud in track mode!! Think "Gun Shots"!! I have not noticed any real change in mileage (Averaging around 31 mpg).
Would I do it again...... ABSOLUTLY!!!!

I will never get tired of this upgrade! I hardly ever listen to my music now that I have this, the sound the exhaust makes is outstanding! The 'pops' that it makes truly give me a kid in the candy store feeling! It is noticeably faster than the MCS without the kit. I have noticed a drop in my MPG... ONLY because I have become addicted to how she sounds in Sport mode with the exhaust baffle open. Even in Mid mode with exhaust open, it's very hard not to love the sound of this vehicle. 100% worth the upgrade. If you have tunnels to drive through with this, you're going to want to drive through that tunnel OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER!! Anywho, if this is an option for you to add to your MCS, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Expensive when you purchase, but factor in how long you plan to have this vehicle and the amount of joy it will bring to you, and now it doesn't seem so expensive ;P

What did your dealership(s) charge for the upgraded - installed? The average seems to be $2400 (kits and shop time) but some dealerships charge $400 above that or more.

Mine was included in my lease plan. So it added a few $$ to my monthly payment, but not a drastic difference from the payments w/o the kit. I work for a dealership and we charge roughly $2,875.00 plus tax for parts and install. The kit is $2057.80 before tax and installation. If you're interested in ordering this and maybe having your dealer install for you, email me and maybe we can see about saving you some on the parts. Otherwise if you are looking to get a new Mini whether you purchase or lease, look at having it included in to your deal if this is an absolute must for you (it really should be ;P).

I think mine in NH is doing it for just about $2300. Going to be my birthday gift when I bring it in for inspection next spring!

Don't have it ... yet. Our F56 is due mid/late November. But, did get a chance to test drive 2 cars that had the kit on it (auto/manual) - alongside a regular S w/o the kit.

Love the sound (that really sold me) and the complete lack of drone at highway speeds. My previous 300ZX droned really bad on the highway.

We'll end up having the dealer install the kit prior to delivery.
