Newbie Questions for F56

Just got my New 2015 Cooper Base model. Still trying to Break in the Car ..

Few questions after Driving this Mini.

1) Any way I can shut off the Auto Start/Stop function. I tried turning Off the switch but looks like it comes back after few min of driving. It display a sign on the Dashboard with a line across it but then that sign disappears after some time while Driving . I hate that Stop and Start Engine Feeling on Stops..

2) Also observing that Mini is always in an Over Drive mode, like its in 4th Gear when it should be in 3rd, or 3rd Gear when it should be in 2nd, so its always seems to me 1+ Gear. You feel like its going to Stall. Is that normal for F56 MCB..

Thanks in Advance..

1. You should be able to turn auto start off with the switch to the left of the start switch. I think it may turn back on if you go into Green Mode, but otherwise should remain off, even if you shut-off your car.

2. You can move your gear selector over to the left and you will be in sport mode, you will see S1 instead of 1 in the instrument cluster, that will be more aggressive. But the car has lots of torque, you shouldn't have any trouble finding power from those low revs.

You can find an owners manual PDF here:
