He must have been half asleep as they have a 0-60 at 4.8 secs...my 260bhp f56 couldn't beat one.

S3 vs F56S

Not even close. While I enjoy my MINI, there's no way it is faster in a straight line than an S3. Sounds like high school stuff.

So what mods have you done to your MINI? Obviously a stock F56 of any version is not going to beat an S3.

Even modded like mine it would not stand a chance unless the s3 had some issues. I can't put my bhp down. From a roll mines strong but I get alot of wheel spin in first and second. I do not know how modded the OP's car is but can not be much more than mine

S3 does have considerable initial turbo lag, but after that it does catapult forward. Even accounting for the turbo lag, the numbers are just in S3's favor.

I test drove S3 and JCW and bought JCW - knowing that JCW is not going to win any drag races.

Sounds like when I "raced" a Lambo in my Clubman. Totally had him from the line and never saw taillights

Assuming that you were on vacation in Mexico, and found an open highway where street racing were legal, and that you made sure that you weren't endangering other people with reckless driving, and both cars were set up and maintained safely, and that both cars were willing participants in your informal contest, congrats.

Oh, and in modern cars, the AC shuts down at wide open throttle.

Yep, many of us are doubters when speed and power claims get made.

But a reiteration of what Helix14mini was getting across--we don't allow discussions of illegal activity on NAM. So we're going to presume your "racing" mentioned above was on a sanctioned track. Any discussion outside that description should be relegated to PMs, please.

I think a separate thread of your build would be awesome stuff, craigsix.

Assuming your numbers are accurate how are you getting it to the ground ? I have 250-260bhp and I spin under hard throttle any where in first and second. 225 very sticky tires.
