Hello friends,

I'm getting ready to put in my order for a new F56 JCW and I'm wondering if the F56 still has the same problem with the sunroof rattling that the R56 had. I had a 2008 R56 JCW and I passed on getting a sunroof with it because of all the owner complaints I heard.

Personally I usually prefer sports cars without sunroofs because anything that makes the car less stiff is less desirable, but my wife is pestering me for a convertible and I figure the sunroof might be a good happy medium.

I've had my car for almost a year now, and no rattling sunroof problems. What does happen from time to time, is some (not much, and not often), vibration from the plastic handle portion of the interior rear sunroof cover. That's it.

 

Same here. Only occasional noise from the rear interior cover and that can be fixed by just pulling it closed a tiny bit so that the handle isn't over the sunroof frame.

 

I am a Motoring Advisor. Mine is good, wife's rattled like crazy. There is a service bulletin out for it so its fairly common.
