Looks great!! Love that green.

Your car looks pretty loaded but noticed you have the left most toggle empty. Wondering what package you have to get to get that toggle? I think it's meant for the PDC?

thank you.
I was hoping it wouldn't be blank. We have the backup camera and parking sensors. And we couldn't order the self parking anymore, not available, and that's what I think goes there.

Shame. I also order that package and thought it would be that toggle. (HATE empty buttons!)

Strange as most cars with parking sensors usually have a separately button to switch them off or on independent of the what gear you're in. I guess for the MINI there's no other way.

i know i don't like the empty toggle either. i thought since we got the rear parking sensors it would be there.
Found out the way to turn it off and on is now through the Idrive.

Thanks for the pics. They will maybe be adding the F55 section soon, then most likely move the thread around.

Self-parking is no longer available? How odd!

The leftmost toggle is now just for the parking assistant.

To my knowledge the parking assistant is still available...or at least it was in March for a May F55 build and it is still shown on the (ever so reliable) configurator. However, the parking assistant DOES conflict with the rear park distance control (PDC) - so if you/your MA had already chosen the PDC the parking assistant may well have shown as 'unavailable'.

We ordered April 12th.
At that time the website showed discontinued at least for the U.S. site. And my MA confirmed he couldn't even check it off on the build out.

My F56 had to be in the shop for a while to get the airconditioner evaporator and related parts replaced (known problem) so I got a loaner.

First, I got a Countryman S (2.0 turbo engine), which had less than 500 miles on it. The interior looked so cheap and the instrument panels looks like it's from the 90s. If they wanted to make it classic looking, they could have used high resolution screens and display pixelated images/tex to imitate the 90s look. The way they have it, it looks horrible. As for acceleration it makes a very loud noise, engines have to rev up to make useful power. It gets to highway speed pretty quick, but feels like it's very slow to get up to speed. City driving was not that smooth either. Lots of rattles in this car and bad gas mileage. I got 33MPG on a 400 miles all highway trip. My F56 will get at least 40MPG in this type of trip. My Mazda CX-5 with a 2.5L engine will get about 33MPG hwy. As you speed up, 60mph vs 70mph, there's more penalty because the large surface area. I saw about 5 mpg difference in the Countryman.

After couple days, I got a F55S loaner. I had family visitors so we really made good use of the 4 door. The doors, both front and rear, felt kind of tiny, but the driving felt just like F56S. Good acceleration and responsive steering. The only bad thing was the crazy rattles coming from the glovebox, and the door seals looked kind of like an afterthought and ugly too. Passengers can comfortably get in and out using the rear door and there's enough leg room. Gas mileage was pretty good too, but I didn't really baby it around and didn't do long distance that much so I only got about 30 MPG on that. But looking at the sticker price that I found in the glove box, that was a shock. $35K for this. It had base radio but a lot of other stuff like sunroof, upgraded speakers, 17" wheels, and some other stuff I would never add if I built mine. Anyways, it was fun driving the 4 door with the same engine and everything.

Still available, but they changed the option codes in March. If you were printing off a spec list from the website at the time, the old code was probably still on there.

Fresh tint looks better and should keep the inside cooler.

That's nice, a rare comb to see in a parking lot without a MINI meet.

Hi, all.

I'll be joining y'all in the F55 Owner's Club in 6-8 long, agonizing weeks from order on 8/21 to delivery. Looking forward to learning more about my new car from the more experienced owners here.

Where did you order your F55? I am in the market for an F55 and thinking about ordering from Mini of Montgomery County. Did your dealer give you any discount off of MSRP?

I initially contacted six dealerships about F55s in inventory. These were: Montgomery County, Baltimore, Annapolis, Sterling, Alexandria, and Exton. However, after finding none with the options we wanted and without options we didn't want, we decided to order.

Once again, I sent emails to each of the dealerships. Our car, as built, was $29,050. Baltimore, Annapolis, Exton, and Alexandria all responded that it would be $31,000 - $32,000 with taxes, tags, and registration. Sterling made an offer of $29,500 out the door. When I went back to the others, Annapolis went so far as to say I should buy three at that price and sell two to them.

When we went to Montgomery County (which is less than 2.5 miles from our house), first we looked at a fully loaded 2015 and test drove it. It confirmed our love for MINI, but made us want even more the perfectly built car. We presented the offer of $29,500 out the door to them and said that they didn't have to beat it, just be competitive. The sales manager then walked out and shook my hand saying I'd gotten the car.

Some dealerships won't budge on build orders, but it certainly seems like some will. I would certainly recommend at least talking with the Montgomery County folks, because even if they can't get you the best deal, they absolutely treated me right through the process so far.
