Headlight Condensation

I was washing my f56 today and after rinsing I noticed that some condensation built up in the headlights. It was not there before I started washing and progressively disappeared after I finished (5 minutes). Does this happen to anyone else? Should I be concerned?

I have noticed this happens too on my 2015 F56, but like yours mine goes away. I think they are vented somehow, but not sure. I currently have a very small piece of bug that somehow got up underneath the headlamp lens on the bottom ring where the turn indicator light is, but I have no idea how to get it out. It's very small though so I'm hoping it just disintegrates/goes away on its own. Kind of annoying though.

Are we talking Xenon or LED lights here. I've got LED's and haven't noticed any condensation when I wash the car.

I got two new Adaptive LED headlamps on warranty due to condensation in them. F55 built November -14.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the standard headlights are halogen not Xenon. Xenons were a $750 option on the R56. I don't think you have a Xenon option on the F56 only LED. I'd be surprised if Mini now gives the Xenons as standard (that would be so unlike them!).

I've noticed that before but always attributed it to the change in temperature when spraying cold water on the car. It's always gone away.

A little condensation is nothing to worry about every now and again. If it's not going away or if it's collecting in little pools, like I've seen on some, THAT'S something you need to call the dealer about. The heat from the headlights/tail lights should quickly defeat any condensation, regardless of what kind of lights you have.

Mine are the LEDs too. But I've only noticed it when hand washing and if the water is really cold. It always goes away though after about 5 minutes of drying.

I would like an answer to this as well. But yes, the condensation always goes away so I guess you're right, it's not a problem unless it pools.

Yep halogen and LED and LED " with expanded content " cornering .

They should all have moisture vents for condensation .
