outside trim question ???

Hey guys

Is the chrome trim around the top part of car below the windows Is it easy to take off and (a) wrap or (B) paint?

Or can you buy it already painted (black) What is the correct name for it besides chrome trim? If it is removable to paint or wrap is it hard to do?

See pic to see what Im talking about..

THANKS!

I know there's a site that has a kit for blacking it out. I'm debating doing it to my Green/Black mini, but I'm slowly replacing chrome to find a balance I like. I'm not normally a huge chrome guy, but I'm going slowly with this one.

I'll see if I can find the website again.

purchased RED tape from Outmotoring to do my white MINI and also my black MINI. There are different sizes for each gen. Takes about 30 minutes to do car and it really makes it POP. See my black JCW in old MC2 for MOT advert.

It's been done. You can easily remove the trim. There is a post of someone that removed and plastidip all the Crome between the body and Windows/windshield. Removing the front crome around the licence plate area is a different story. I need a new one now since you really shouldn't try to remove it without taking the bumper off. lol.
