So my 2015 MCS has been sitting at the port awaiting a shipping vessel for over a week now. Any ideas on how long of a wait I have? I'm anxious to get my car!!

 

Is your car in Southampton? The next ship for NY is the Faust, leaving on March 20th. I'm expecting my F55 to be on it. I was listed on last Sunday's cargo load, but then got bumped along with about 20 other cars.

 

I don't know which port its at. I've been calling ASK MINI. It just says its at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. I'm pretty sure it's at Southampton

MINI completed on March 5th and it still hasn't shipped. It's been sitting at the port since like the 6th.

 

The Faust is leaving Southampton today. My F55 is show as "Loaded on vessel".

 

I just called the Ask Mini number and mine says it's still waiting on a shipping vessel.

 

My F55 is booked on the Faust as well for NYC, but doesn't say it's loaded on board yet. You must have first dibs since you were bumped last time.

and enter your VIN in the Cargo ID field. There are 263 MINIs booked, though that doesn't mean they will all fit, as I found out.

 

Mine doesn't even have any shipment information available when I call. Is it possible mine could still end up on the ship?

 

I doubt AskMINI updates as quickly as the 2wglobal site. You're better off checking there.

 

I just tried. I put my VIN number in the cargo ID box and it says no records found. Do I need to put other info in as well?

 

Just the VIN. You can check your build country at: http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html
You just need the last 7 digits of the VIN. That will tell you if it was an Oxford build, or Netherlands (I think). That will at least tell you where it's waiting.

There's my VIN number. I'm having trouble finding out. Could one of you guys figure it out? I have been trying but I'm having trouble.

 

I'm pretty sure it was built in Oxford England.

 

I was just emailed from my MA that my order went into production yesterday If thats the case how do I get a Vin # or do I just keep using the order#

Never mind I found my Vin#

 

I don't think it's Oxford. The decoder gives no plant location. Digit 11 is "T" for Oxford.

 

Well what do I do now?

 

Other than talking to a warm body at AskMINI, I don't know. Anyone with a NL F56 have any advice?

 

Actually, I probably don't know what I'm talking about. I just looked at the list of VINs currently being loaded on the Faust. Lots of them have 2AXXXXX at the end.
