Well my 2014 MCS 6k miles has been in the shop for 4 weeks as of Feb 9th for a new transmission and a stalling problem. And as I now the transmission still has not arrived yet! WTF!! You'd think it would take so long to get a transmission. No telling how long it's gonna take after it arrives. Am I wrong for thinking about some kinda of compensation? The more I think about the more pissed I get, not to mention the problems I've had with the service dept. to get this far which is a whole other rant. Ive been without it this long not even sure if I want it anymore.

What was the time frame they quoted you? on tuesday mine will have been in the shop for 2 weeks, with what looks like another week to go. It sucks waiting, I'm just trying to enjoy driving the base countryman they gave me

They gave me NO time frame...it was with them over a week claiming it was nothing wrong with the car and no such problem had been heard of. I was pissed because I took vacation to take the car in for service and they told me they didn't need a test drive with me in the car to show the problem with the car. Then a week later my car was ready with nothing done because they couldn't reproduce the problem. I told them I tried to to show them and they didn't want me to take a test drive with the tech. They told me that that day they didn't have a extra tech to go on a test drive.

Continued....I went crazy. They told me that a tech could drive my car to me ( almost 2 hrs away ) then do a test drive with me to show the problem then drive it back 2 hrs. I was like WTF are you crazy? Needless to say I was pissed I told him wasn't my fault you didn't wasn't to ride with me and I was gonna call someone and get something done. Then less than than 30 minutes or so they called back and claimed they had the problem happen. I'm sure tons of typos but I'm still mad as hell about the whole situation. They still claim they haven't got the stutter problem reproduced or heard such of a problem and I sent links to post from here with the problem.

You probably qualify under your states' Lemon Law based on how long it's been in the shop. If I were you considering how much stuf has already gone wrong with it and how clueless your dealership is I'd get out of that car entirely. It amazes me how some dealers are great and some have no clue.

lemon

Let them keep it in the shop for 30 or more days and then lemon it. Check your state lemon law because you may need fewer shop days, but 30 is common for several states.

You should update your signature block - is your car a 2011, or a 2014?

A law that says if your new car is in the shop a certain number of days the first year, or has to have multiple problems fixed the dealer must refund your money and take the car back rather than keep fixing the car.

You should be able to get a trade assist done and get into a new one.

Ugh, this worries me knowing mine is also in for a new transmission. First world problems but I'm sick of this Countryman. Did they say what the plan was or just wait and have a new one built

This is always an unfortunate situation when the parts arn't available. I would ask your dealership to do a parts escalation form for a vehicle down situation if they haven't already. That can sometimes help get the part faster. Hope this helps!

They told me they have no clue when it's gonna arrive. Claim they called and tried to get a ETA but haven't been told anything.

At first they claimed they didn't have anything to give me but I told them I had to have a car. They got me a rental at first and brought me a loaner last week.

wow this dealer sounds lousy, whenever I take my mini in they give me a car to use without my asking, whether it's gonna take an hour or a week.
