Agreed with the other posters: It appears to be just another "short ram" style intake. Yes, I'm sure it flows more but it's going to be sucking in hot engine bay air, not fresh air. That can work if you have a REALLY efficient intercooler, like perhaps an air-to-water unit or maybe a really big air-to-air unit but I agree: More noise maker than power maker.

The VIP may not fit mine :(

Looks like the US cars have a different spec lower airbox section - I've been chatting with VIP, and they have concerns.

May have to go with the NM Eng version which replaces everything...

Our intake does also replace everything, just to clarify.

We did sell out of them already though, so unless you are able to wait in line for a few weeks it might not be what you are looking for.

Well, I installed the WMW intake on my Justa this weekend. It's still depressingly quiet inside the cockpit. I imagine on the S it would sound a lot better.

Thanks for the update. I think most people just want the car to sound better.

That's all I want, but it seems I can't have it. Damn these engineers and their sound deadening. I'd even be up for retro-fitting whatever system the S uses to pump engine noise into the cockpit at this point.

Out of curiosity, did they show any data to substantiate that claim?

They didn't provide any data just an email.. Just a claim. In other news K&N has released a panel filter for the F56 part number 33-3025

question about VIP's setup

the air intake holes are only located next to the very hot coolant overflow tank. does that matter at all, someone with more knowledge, help.

those issues aside, craven will probably just sell me the tube and filter at the same price as way's kit, and i get cravens customer service, and warranty which is why i buy from them in the first place

I'm wondering also if anyone is making an intake to make use of the hood scoop. I like the look of the hood scoop on my MCS but I'd like it a whole lot better if it did something.

I thought on the Gen 3 the scoop was fake, no hole under there?

Kinda silly, but I guess the S wouldn't be an S without a scoop...
