F55/F56 Frozen Windows
Frozen Windows
It has become cold here, which is normal. About 20 degrees fahrenheit to be exact. Has anyone else had issues on their 2014 F56 MCS with their windows freezing shut? It has happened two days in a row and it would not bother me much but it is hard to get the mail without opening my window so then I need to drive forward and open the door.
Just curious.

Usually with windows, you need to clean and dry well, especially in the track area. Moisture will work its way into the door, and cause a jam as well. Best NOT to force windows down, and let the sun defrost them. What works on frozen doors is to first wipe all the door jams and the rubber gaskets down to remove dirt and moisture. Using a cotton ball, apply glycerine, (can purchase from a drug store, it's clear), to the rubber gaskets. Your doors will NOT freeze shut.

I did yes (blizzak snow tires), as a matter of a fact they are being put on tomorrow.
Excellent choice on the Blizzaks.
I had them on my last Mini, and they performed very, very, well. Combined with the Mini handling, you will have few worries as you venture out into the "Frozen Tundra".
I'd guess you just moved there.
