Yesterday the iDrive system started to randomly reboot while I was driving. It did it the first time, then did it again about an hour later. Hasn't done it today. has anyone have this problem before?

 

Sounds like a hardware problem. Take it in.

 

Yes. Ours started doing this about a month ago, only does it shortly after first start up in morning. Has done this about 4 times. Took to the dealer, they ordered a new head unit going to have it replaced in the next 2 weeks.

 

Is it really a hardware problem or a software problem? I saw on some Bimmer forums that they were having the same problem.
