F55/F56 September Sales Numbers are in!
September Sales Numbers are in!
Another month, another train wreck for the F56. A whopping 37% drop from the 2013 anemic sales. I have to wonder what the excuses will be this month! Look wayyy down at position 132.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty serious. It seems that Mini has completely imploded. As a 3 time Mini customer, I'm sad to see it. If only they listened to their customers...
Thus the comment 'anemic 2013 sales'... This isn't about past vs present, it's about the collapse of a brand I spent a lot of time and money on... implosion... It's kind of getting hard to deny it...
I would expect a lull in sales for the hardtop with the constant delays, and the recent MINI hostage crisis. Steeper than expected? Oh yeah waaay. But only time will tell what happens. There is a 4 door coming out, we will see how it goes.
So do you think the fact that the wonderful EPA froze all Mini sales for the last 2 months(US and Canada) could have anything to do with it? DOH!
They'll have a helluva October lol. The OP's a troll, I don't buy this "I had 3 Minis" line either.

However, the majority of your original post refers to the "train wreck for the F56". You should be asking why the brand in general seems to be in a decline as opposed to cherry-picking the data for the F56 when there are R models doing worse.
Likewise, the numbers for the Countryman are up, suggesting their customers are interested in bigger, more practical vehicles, an interest that MINI is apparently responding to with the redesigned F models.
If I'm a troll, I've been trolling a lot longer than you! I think you can look back in time at all my posts... 2006 R53 Justa, 2009 JCW and a 2013 GP...
You must have loved the JCW. And you know about no Mini sales in September due to EPA jailing cars. Toronto alone is getting 500 cars. There's over 1000 in CA getting sent out.
Like whatever cars you want to like, why bother crapping on other folks choices?
Had to personalize mine a bit but I absolutely love it now. Coil overs wheels and a slight drop got it just where I wanted it.
And to the OP. Why don't you do everyone a favor and quit posting negative threads over and over again. I think weve all seen enough of you.

I don't see the OP's post as "crapping on other folks' choices". As you can see below I have an R56 and I love it. It is the most fun car I have ever driven and even three years later I get a smile on my face driving it. It never gets old. Having said that, my lease is about up and I'm making a decision about the F56. I never thought I would have even the slightest doubt about getting a new MINI when my lease expired. I don't like that it's bigger and I also don't like that it doesn't feel as fun to drive as the R56 (less of the go cart feeling). I can see where those of you who have bought the 14's and 15's as your first MINI's love your cars and see them as lots of fun to drive. They are! They're just not AS fun as the R56's (IMO). Those are my opinions and I don't see that as crapping on other people's choices. R53 owners said the same things when the R56's came out. I will probably end up making the same decision many of you have and lease an F56 in a couple of weeks because even though it's not the same, it's better than anything else on the market, but I can still wish they would have left a good thing alone.
I drove a Countryman MCS loaner yesterday when I took my JCW Coupe in for service (removed black stripes on top/spoiler, replaced bad door speaker). Man that one definitely handles different than even my 2007 MCS: more body roll, softer ride. Good acceleration and responsive steering though. Plenty of back seat room. Way taller profile of course. Windscreen farther away, deeper dash. To me it's another 4 door compact sedan with a good motor. I'd never buy a Countryman myself.

My guess since I am a Motoring Advisor is that we had very low stock with the EPA hold on the 2015 models. We had started the month with 26 Hardtops ended the month with 5 which is all we have to sell till we get 2015 ' s

Anyone remember those little troll dolls you could get with the bright colored hair....
