Quick question for those who have 3M Crystalline window tint

I finally got my windows tinted (sides, rear, double sun roof, and windshield strip at the top). 40% 3M Crystalline all around except for the windshield. 20% 3M Color Stable strip at the top of the windshield, nicely curved to give the front end some neat character.

Anyway, my question is this. I noticed that from the inside there are repeat '3M' watermarks apparently embedded in the tint. Is this common with 3M tint? Not really an issue, but I wasn't expecting to see the 3M logo on the film.

I love the new tint. The installer did a fantastic job. Cost me $530.00 for everything, including the 3M Color Stable on the windshield.

I don't notice this in my MINI. And neither in my wife's Prius. But there are 2 caveats to my comment: 1. My wife's car was done a while ago, and 2. My installer might have used older film.

Maybe 3M has changed something in the printing of the film? Or my eyesight is too poor to notice.

I called the installation shop and asked them about it. After 3-4 days I have to gently rub them off with rubbing alcohol. So they are not permanent. I'm happier that they can be removed.

I will post photos of the car with the new tint once the rain stops and the sun comes out. Probably tomorrow or Monday.

I would not like it if they were permanent. It is a good way to know that they actually used 3M film.

My installer removed the "3M" during the installation. I got 50% all around. 35% is max in Maryland and I guess I got spooked by the "50% is the darkest we can legally put on" speech. Since the windows come from MINI as 70%, adding 50% to them results in a 35% window. Hindsight... I would have gone for the 40% 3M, but the 50% still looks great.

Yes, the 3M logo does say that genuine 3M film was used. I am a bit perturbed that the installer left them and never told me to remove them. The dealer made me believe that it was somewhat normal for them to remain for 3-4 day as the film dries/sets. ??
