Does anyone know if the F56 MCS can show the iPhone TomTom maps on the in-dash display over bluetooth

 

No. The only things that'll show up on the display are built in Mini Connected Apps controlled by the phone or the information built into the display itself. You won't be sending third party navigation info over to the dash screen.

I will say one thing in favor of the rather expensive built in navigation option, if you get Nav and the HUD, the HUD will display the directions, including distance to next turn, road names, diagrams at exit ramps and recommended lanes to be in while on a highway based on upcoming splits/merges/exits.
