I've seen threads on other colors, how about those of us that own Moonwalk Grey Minis?



I'll start. Justa, self-colored roof and mirrors, white bonnet stripes, Sport package, storage package, premium package, cold weather package.

Her name is Batty.

 

Still waiting the truck to arrive. Could be any day. white roof with no strip. thinking about to replace white mirror caps with black jack mirror caps.

 

I'm planning to replace the mirror caps with the Black Jack caps. I think they will look great with the grey paint.

 

Looks pretty good in person and a stand out color.

Love them both! Both the white and black roof and mirror caps look great with this color.

 

I just found this thread and had to add to it. It seems there are "Official" club threads for every color Mini except Moonwalk Grey Metallic. Maybe other Moonwalk Mini owners will see this thread an add to it as I have done.

I nearly changed my mind at the last minute to Moonwalk Grey, but ended up staying with BRG.

 

My firs mini was BRG with black top. Loved it too,but moonwalk gray called out to me this time 😀

 

Ever time I see one, I wish they had in in the R53 and R56 body.

 

2015 Moonwalk Grey Justa purchased on Thursday. White roof/mirror caps, and white MINI yours inside, carbon black perforated leatherette. 4-door. Her name's Mini Pearl. :D

I still miss my R50 though.

Is there a hint of blueish green in there? Looks great! Nice pic.

 

Think its the sky and the tree reflective light, I have seen in person and its a flat gray.

 

Hmm, expected more than 18 posts, but maybe MWGM just isn't a very popular color?? I am not a hatch per se, but here are a couple snaps of my Clubby in MWGM the day I picked it up. It really has to be in bright sunlight to pick up the very fine metallic flake, though.

Love mine too. Four door S model with black roof, no stripes, chrome mirror caps, 16" Loop wheels. It's almost "flat" looking in certain lights. Audi had a similar color on the TT awhile back. Its a nice spot between White Silver and the purple-blue hues in the Thunder Grey.

 

The color is very striking in person. Love it.

 

MG is a little on the blue side of grey if the pix do it justice. I've not seen on in person but someone at work has a Grand Cherokee that reminds me of it. Looks good. If I were to get an SUV that would be it.

 

This grey (using the MINI spelling) is a metallic and I think it has a silver fleck in it that picks up colors from the surrounding environment. I would describe it as a 'true' gray, almost milky due to the fleck. When it gets warmer I will try and get a good closeup pic in sunlight. Closest thing I have is the pic below of my car in the showroom with flash and some natural overcast light coming in through the doors. The pics in my post #19 above were outside that same day, again heavy overcast.

It is quite amazing how much the fleck can influence the color shade. My wife's Patriot is "Natural Green Pearl", which is a really sharp shade of green that really 'glows' in the right sunlight. There is actually a lot of yellow fleck in her paint when you look closely at it (see pics below), but you don't see them when standing a few feet from the vehicle.

 

Pictures from a couple months ago. Getting different stripes since I had some hood damage, they were had to take the others off to repaint, will post new pics hopefully after Saturday.
