F55/F56 Help Identifying Pantone
Help Identifying Pantone
So, I just got my roof, mirror caps, and door handles wrapped in carbon fiber and I am thinking I may just wrap the whole car. Obviously going for the matte look but would love to keep that fantastic Volcanic Orange color. Anyone know how I could go about identifying the pantone for this particular color? Worse comes to worse I will go with as close as I can find in their pantone color book but would love to get it as close as possible.
Hugely appreciated!

Doesn't 3M have a matte clear? Seems like the easiest route if you already like the color.
I've debated doing Moonwalk with a gloss orange roof and mirrors, but I'd likely go with an oranger tone than the Mini color.

There does not seem to be an exact Pantone equivalent, although there may be a close enough match to please you try Pantone 174. Below is the appropriate values for "Mini Volcanic Orange" which has a TRUE Hex code of #9f2f00. B70 is a matching paint color.
The hexadecimal color code #9f2f00 is a medium dark shade of red-orange.
In the RGB color model #9f2f00 is comprised of 62.35% red, 18.43% green and 0% blue. In the HSL color space #9f2f00 has a hue of 17.74 degrees, 100% saturation and 31.18% lightness.
This color has an approximate wavelength of 609 nm.
rgb(159, 47, 0)
Process color = cyan: 0 (0), magenta: 70 (0.7044), yellow: 100 (1), key: 38 (0.3765)
Hope this helps Chris
