Looks like I spoke too soon.... Just checked and the status changed to "returned to shipper". Looks like a couple more days at least. Hopefully not a problem with the car....

Returned to shipper almost always means the boat was full, not a problem with the car. MINI lines them all up on the dock, WW starts loading them on the boat until they run out of room, and marks the remainder as Returned to Shipper.

Same thing happened to my car, and it was booked on the next one heading out, though it didn't get a new booking number until the day the boat showed up for loading.

To put your mind more at ease: Take the booking number from your tracking page, now go back to the search page and put that into the Booking Number section and clear your VIN, and search. It'll give you a list of every car that was part of that booking, and you can see how many made it on the boat and how many did not. Yours won't be alone =)

How long does the paint process take? Mine has been in paint since Saturday and states it is due for completion today.

Thanks for that! I assumed that was the case, but good to see something more solid. Now, back to the waiting game.... (and clicking refresh)

Paint Shop and Body Shop should only be 1 day each. But keep in mind that all the tracking systems are rather slow. Yours could well be done but someone forgot to flip whatever switch updates your tracking info.

Are you getting Paint Shop from the automated call in or from an operator? Try the other, they are often different.

yep! looks like both of ours made it on!
can't wait to get ours!
Baltimore to Pittsburgh is less than a day's drive, but I doubt we'll be the only 2 on the truck!

I'm with you. My car's been at the port since the 27th, and it's still sitting waiting for a ship to the east coast.

Well, I've changed from waiting for transport (to the port) to "at the port waiting for a shipping vessel".

I think all West Coast vehicles are shipped with W&W, so I'll keep trying to track by VIN there to see when I'm booked on a ship. I think it will be the July 15 (or is 16?) ship due to arrive 8/6...

The Metis Leader just got underway from Southampton scheduled to arrive Port Hueneme July 30. So far WWL's Track and Trace has not been updated to show what Mini's are actually on board.

How long did it take to change from "waiting for transport" to "at the port waiting for a shipping vessel". Mini USA has me as "waiting for transport" since July 5 and web site still has me as schedule for production. becky1711 and I were side by side until July 5, she has moved forward and I have not moved in Mini USA or the Web site?

I wonder why there is ship to the West Coast every two weeks and there is one to the East every few days?

For me I was waiting for transport around July 3 and at the port today July 8. But who knows when I was actually there...

And since west coast ships were every two weeks (or so I thought) with ships scheduled for 7/2 and 7/16, it didn't matter too much to me that it didn't get to the port sooner. But then when I saw references to additional west coast bound ships, then I started caring more

Oh man, I didn't know the website still had you in production. At least my website says awaiting transport. Recording still says "being transported to port of exit." In other words, unchanged from the 5th. I've been tempted to talk to a person, but figured we know when the ships leave so I'll plug my VIN in on the 10th (and likely beyond) and see if it comes up with anything. Some folks seem to slip through really fast and others - not so fast.

My MCS has been sitting at the port as of July 5th. I hope my Mini made it on to The Metis Leader. Where did you see the info on The Metis Leader?

jdogg - See if this link to the Wallenius Track and Trace site works for you. You'll have to enter your VIN in the Cargo ID box:
https://offices.2wglobal.com/offices...ckSearchResult

I'm hoping my MCS is on the Metis Leader but the Track and Trace hasn't been updated since the ship sailed this morning.

Mine was finished and changed to "waiting for transport" on the 24th; On the 27th it changed to "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel." It's been sitting there ever since, and it's going to the east coast.

So have you asked your MA or dealer to look into it? Or called and asked a rep what's going on???

They all say the same thing. It's waiting for a boat and there is nothing they can do to see why it has taken so long.
