What is considered week 27? My car is due for completion July 7th.

 

I am week 27 and was told I was going to finish production on July 4th then on Wed or Thu it was changed to July 7th. Today July 5th I was told production was done and waiting for transport. becky1711 and I was the dates and changes, today she was told that her mini was "vehicle is being transported to the port of exit" I hoping we will still be on the same ship. I hope this helps and you are not more confused...

 

Week 27 is what's listed on your order sheet under "Conf. Prod.". Mine had "2014/07/27" which is listed as "Yr/Mo/Wk". I was led to believe that was
June 30th to July 6th. So, July 7th might be Week 28.

But, if your car was due to complete July 7th, it was definitely in production during Week 27. Thus you are at a minimum a high honorary member of Week 27 if not a full fledged member.

Ya know wtwien, I've been thinking about those changes and here's my theory: I was loaded up on whatever they use to take cars to the port and you were still in line when the whistle blew to start the weekend. Given the last minute complete-date change right before it was due to complete, then to actually complete after all - I think I'm still sitting on a transport in Oxford and haven't actually gone anywhere yet. I bet we're still together. My status in the owner's lounge hasn't changed, still says scheduled for production.

djpic: As for what week is week 27 - I was told by dealer I was week 28 and thought that is when I would start production. Then when I called MINI, I actually started in week 26 and finished in week 27, but if wtien and my complete-date change would have held true (7th), I would have completed in week 28. So I don't exactly know what the week they give you means, but if you complete on the 7th, you're likely very close to wtien and me so yeah, like has already been said, welcome!

You know you maybe right with the weekend. I know they are working 3 shifts but most likely shut down on the weekends. I know Detroit does. Hopefully we will have answers tomorrow. I do like Born on the 4th of July. We could name them Bruce, Tom or Cruise. I have not come up with a name yet

The Don Juan just left port for Halifax. Does anyone know how long it takes for your VIN to show up on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen track and trace?

I'm hoping it takes some time to show up, but realistically I know it means my car missed yet another ship.

Try googling your VIN. I think that worked for me.

Surprise - I thought I was waiting for the Elektra but just now I see that my MCS is underway today aboard Metis Leader to arrive Port Hueneme July 30!

Where did you find that info? Is there an NYK track page where you can put in your VIN?

My build completed 7/2 so it would be nice if it's on the same ship...

I found that info on the regular Wallenius Track and Trace site. I entered my VIN as usual and there it was. My guess is that Wallenius has chartered the NYK ship for this voyage.

 

Are not R56s MINIs? I said it was undated pic of MINIs, not F56s. There is also a yellow that is not VO in the pic. It's just Google maps satellite view, so no one should expect it to be current.

 

Now I'm getting bummed. Still waiting for transport to the port.
