Replacing runflats

I plan on having Tirerack ship directly to dealer for mounting before I take delivery.Asked my M.A. if runflats have any value to them, although i suspect they would not be able to sell as new because already mounted. Also asked if they would mount 215/45-17 in place of O.E. 205/45.Minimal increase in diameter (24.7 from 24.3) .Gaining a little sidewall is not a bad thing , Little wider stance is good!!Ishould here from them Monday. I have narrowed tire choice to Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2(UHP All Season)or BFG gforce Comp-2(UHP summer) Both ranked tops in their category at tirerack.Comments are welcomed!!

Wear out what they send
The Pirellis are 260 UTQG, so that shouldn't take too long.
By then a number of MC owners will have worn out and changed tires and your
choices will be more clear.
My Guess...:
You won't get anything from the dealer for the OEM tires and they will charge you a premium for mounting, if they will even mount them. Liability issues?
I would like to see a little more sidewall as well.

I ditched my run flats 2 weeks into ownership and fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sports - they are awesome!

Run-flats command a good resale value if they have not been used. I would never let the dealership take them off. It requires someone really skilled if you don't want your rims marked. Take the new car to a tire shop and have them pulled and then stick them on Kijiji...
I ordered the Hankook performance RF's knowing that they are a new tire not available in the US yet. These are pretty dam good wet and dry tires. I'll get over $800 for them.

Agreed
A "touchless" machine is the tip for mounting alloys.

Well, after rethinking I will take delivery with what i assume will be pirreli P7 all season runflats.Either run them this season ,get my winter pkg. in nov. and go from there or replace now and sell on craigslist. Thanks for your input ..yes a real tire shop ,i guess those rfs are tough to dismount/mount.
