This is really great and is part of placing the vehicle in front-end service mode. This post should go into a forum section dedicated to prepping for front-end service.

Just a quick update on this procedure. I found when doing the fender flares/wheel arches, if you start at the top (12 O'clock position) and pop the clips going toward the front of the car on each side, you don't need to undo the clips going to the back. There's enough flexibility in the flares to move them out of the way to get at the Torx screw on the side of the bumper and they then can just hang there.

And a caveat - if you're installing the driving lights using the Mini sourced mounting brackets - the brackets have little mushroom head studs on the underside that want to grab the bumper when you're trying to put it back on. It's definitely a two person job to get it back in position while getting past those studs!

Motor On!

Thanks for these instructions and photos! I hit a coyote and have to replace the plastic piece that covers the bumper. On my first attempt today, all I could loosen was the top. Now I know how to get to the rest.

Nice write-up. Also nice to see they put a much larger IC in the F56 than the R56.

hi tha ks for this guide. I managed everything, but now i’m stoch at the unplugging of the fog lights. Whats the trick here? I’ve been pulling and prying for the pas hour without any result.

[QUO=GregoryK;3947328]Step 3
Remove the 5 bolts on the top of the radiator (just in front) that hold on the trim.
You will need a helper.
Pull the whole assembly off the car. If you have auxiliary lights you will need to unplug these.
Done! Now you can take any plastic piece off the front without breaking it.
Or install the brackets for the driving lights.
I'll post how to do that soon.
:-)

Perfect timing that this old thread popped up. Have to replace the lower grilled on my car and I literally just ordered the replacement part before finding this thread.
