I see that most of the F-56's are missing the two outside switches on the center stack. I will not be getting those options either, but would like to install two dummy switches to complete the look. This could be done on the R-56, so I hope someone figures it out and posts a How-To.
I'll be missing the far right toggle myself and would be very interested as well!
I talked with the folks at Sewell today on that exact subject. They don't have anything to replace or add a switch outside of the whole panel ($$$$ and they don't recommend) and don't know of anyone yet who does. The consensus is it's too soon. Patience Grasshopper and you will be rewarded.

Oh, I'm in no hurry at all. Just wanted to toss it out there in case some adventurous person tried it and forgot to post the results.
So, are they saying that each toggle is not stand alone and simply covered by the panel? In the past, you just bought an OEM switch, removed the cover, stuck the switch in and you were good to go. The toggle is just a lever that activates the sensor, that tells the ECU to turn something on or off. The car is mostly "fly by wire".
Nice find, looks like the new switch unit is all one item. At $167.00, that is not that bad. Now, to figure out how hard it is to get it out, which must no be that hard since it is a single unit.
I HATE they moved the windows, 3 weeks old and I still reach to the middle to operate the windows.
Agreed. After owning an 88 thunderbird and a 03 r53 both having window switches in the middle of the car, I hate them on the doors. I like having all controls in the center.

Having never owned a MINI, it would probably drive me nuts if the window switches were anywhere but the door. However, I am interested in this topic and will be waiting to see if someone adds new switches.

It may seem odd at first, but I have always preferred the MINI's layout since my hand is down there already and I can use my right hand vs. left. It's just easier

Inigo Montoya: I'm going to duel him left-handed.
Vizzini: You know what a hurry we're in!
Inigo Montoya: Well, is only way I can be satisfied. If I use my right... over too quickly.
