I have Auto Climate Control and the same problem. I tried shutting everything off (auto function, fan, etc.), checking to make sure my profile was selected, turned off the engine, locked with the fob. I then walked away for 5 minutes, came back and unlocked with the fob, started the engine and low and behold....it did it again!

Does the same with my wife's fob as well. Please post what you have found out from the dealer.

 

I am having the same problem everyone has described here. Can't get the AC and Vent fans to stay permanently off when turning off everything before shutting off the car. Anyway have any feedback from their MA? I'm contacting mine today. Thanks.

 

Good reason to not get the Auto Climate Control With my R56 everything stayed the same when you shut off the car.

 

Maybe 75% of the time here's how i got it to not turn on:
1) Turn off the climate (all off) and drive for approximately 1 minute
2) power lever off x2 to turn the car off
3) when i come back, AC was not on

 

Mine turns on too. 2015 F56 comes with auto climate control stock.

It's annoying that AC and the fan turns on by itself every time I turn on the car. I use AC maybe couple times in a month just to defog because I don't like mold growing in the condenser.

I don't know how, but my AC didn't turn on for the whole day today during several shopping trips. I almost thought maybe I blew the AC fuse while installing my dash cam last night, but when inside started getting foggy I turned on my AC with no problems.
So maybe it depends on which remote you have? Thinking back, I had both in the car the first day.

 

It should be code-able.

This is really annoying.
I'll have to order the OBD-ethernet cable then to start looking into it. I saw it was around $5 or so. It's actually a simple wiring so...

 

If my AC is so ff when I turn off the engine, it does not come on when I later start the engine. I have auto AC.

 

From what I've read some work some don't. I paid $20 for my cable

 

I have the same issue with the recycle. Mine used to remember the setting. Took the car in for a fault light. They reset the system and not it doesn't remember. Very annoying.
