Anyone take delivery of a Cooper with this package yet? I'm curious if what people were saying that it only includes the anthracite headliner, sport seats and JCW steering wheel, and not the other things listed, was true?

 

The reason I say that the car doesn't come with the other parts is because my invoice does not state them anywhere. After bringing it up to my MA after ordering they stated that those parts can't be ordered yet. After they forgot other things on the car, I raised a stink and they said they would custom order the boot/**** and the pedals and put them on free of charge. They also stated that the JCW door sills from the package simply did not exist in the system. So they are going to throw in the illuminated JCW sills for free

As you can see on my invoice it only states the two things under JCW interior pack :(

 

I think the problem is that the package builder on line states that it includes the pedals, shifter and door sills. I suppose we are just trying to find out if thats correct or if Mini has that wrong on the site?

 

And the pkg on the Configurator
seems different for the S than the Justa

 

I think the only difference is it doesn't include Sports Seat in S, b/c it's std

 

You only see the Steering Wheel and Anthracite Headliner because they are the only parts with factory ordering codes.

The stainless steel pedals are the same ones used on the 2nd Gen cars:

Correct.. And the dealer states that you don't get the others in the package although the Configurator says you do...

 

I'd say the Configurator trumps what the dealer says, otherwise MINI could be accused of false advertising or "bait and switch".

 

Anyone called Mini about this to get their take?

 

FWIW I asked my MA to confirm whether these items would be on the build. He reached out to his contact at corporate who told him they'd be there (thankfully I have an email from the MA stating this). We'll see what shows up.

Order entered 5/7 and in the body shop. Estimated completion 5/15.

 

My MA talked to corporate about all the options that I wanted and they didn't know how to get them on the car besides a custom order part by part. Mine is being loaded on a vessel as we speak. So only time will tell.

Note: I ordered mine the day after the JCW interior pack was made available.

So take this with a grain of salt, but my MA said the following in regards to the JCW package (oh and the ambient lighting as I asked if it only came with the MINI Yours interior):

"In reference to the JCW package, which by the way is not available until July (you can order now but it will not go into production until then), I have sent this question to my product expert at MINI USA. As soon as I hear back from him to clarify, I will forward it to you. The ambient lighting is a standard feature on all MINIs."

 

Hmm. My JCW package exited production today.

 

Ha! Hence the 'grain of salt' comment. Well hopefully this means you got ALL of the JCW package...

 

Sure hope so.

Note the JCW door sills on the BRG thread posted today (but no pedals). Asked the poster whether they got the sills through the package but no word so far.

 

Got a response! Feel pretty confident this guy knows his stuff, but who knows...

I ordered my car the day after this package was made available. It was loaded on a ship and hitting shores on the 26th. Soooon.

 

I think he may be referring to the JCW Exterior Package.

 

Yeah, they emailed back saying it was JCW package with Chili Red paint that wasn't available until July.

 

Ordered my F56 today and my MA confirmed that if JCW interior is in the configurator then its available. Haven't seen any good pics of the cloth double stripe seat covers. Configurator makes it look like cloth/leather or leatherette. Any good pics around?

Yeah, they are all cloth. Those are the pics I saw. I love them, especially the stitching. If I get an F56, definitely getting these as they will be perfect with a pepper white!
