F55/F56 What Is Your Actual Gas Mileage So Far?
2014 MC 1.5 L 6 speed manual
I've put ~5,100 miles on my MINI since picking it up July 17. I've been driving in the mountains and on the highways of Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Montana. I've been primarily in mid mode, with some sport and green. Very little of the driving has been city driving.
I've been using 91 octane gas, the highest available. My mpg averages are: 41.6, 40.1, 36.6, 39.2, 41.3, 39.2, 40.1, 38.8, 40.2, 38.2, 43.2, 40.5, 40.0, 37.7
A couple of notes: I've crossed quite a few mountain passes from 8,000 to 12,000 feet. That 1.5 L pulls beautifully in those hills.
A number of interstates around here have 80 mph speed limits. The car is very comfortable with cruise control set at 80 or 90.
I drove on the Bonneville Salt Flats in western Utah with the idea of seeing how fast the MINI would go. I was happy to not find exactly where to drive and too chicken to search very hard :-(

This thread is kick as
I am definitely buying an f56 once I move back to the states after hearing about this gas mileage the countryman is a gas hog compared to the countryman. Also really wanting the JCW to come out about the same time I move back.
I think you should be getting MUCH better than that unless you're flooring it every time there's a gap in traffic. Engines don't really break in these days. I would take it in to the shop.
I get 27mpg (fully run in) Toronto. Mainly shorty trips. Get 440km (275 miles) on a tank. Slightly better than my R56though I seem to fill up more often with the smaller tank. Traffic in Downtown here is way worse than LA though!
2014 MCS - 1000 mi
Got 1000 miles on odometer now. Went for a 200 mile drive - strictly highway - and car obtained 40 (almost 41) mpg in green mode.
Running around town, combination Highway/city (60/40) - 34 mpg - mid mode
Running around town - city streets only - 31 mpg - mid mode

Yeah I think I have to take her in. With 500 miles on her, my Justa is barely averaging 23-24mpg. Again it's mostly bad LA traffic with a lot of stop and go but I'm using green mode 60% of the time and purposefully driving like a grandma.
another update, tank 3, finally past 1000 miles so the throttle has been used more vigorously:
2014 F56 S manual
Miles traveled between fill-ups: 335.6
Gallons: 9.264
Actual MPG: 36.2
Mini Calculated MPG: 37.8
Average Speed: 42.8 (useful to determine how much city/hwy)
So, just like the R53, the calculated MPG is high by about 1 MPG.

What's the difference between those two countrymen that makes one a gas hog and the other not?
After 10,000 miles on my 2014 MC manual, I am averaging 40mpg. This is in Mid mode most of the time and drive pretty hard sometimes.
Was able to get 48 mpg once on a 3 hour trip from the cabin, but that was with cruise set at 62 and was no fun at all.

I just noticed that www.fuelly.com finally added MINI F56 with engine and transmission options properly listed. If anyone is interested in tracking their mileage, I would recommend you guys join this site.
For example, this is a page for my Mazda CX-5.
There's also an Android app called Fuelly so you can easily add the miles driven and gallons of gas it took to fill up. It'll calculate your mpg and give other statistics too.

Posting MPH averaged per tank of gas would be more meaningful than describing the type of driving you do
For example ...
I once got a low of 17.1 MPG on a tank in my 2002 MCS but I only averaged 15.1 MPH for that tank. On my last tank of gas I got 28.4 MPG averaging 33.3 MPH.

Sounds like the Justa gets 35-40 and MCS gets 31-36. Which is a little better than the Gen II series. I averaged 29-34 in my 2007. Sounds like whatever they did helped gas mileage. I can tell you my 6 speed AT is geared higher than my 2007 manual. I used to go 75mph at 3000 rpm in 6th, now I got almost 80.
2015 Justa - 6MT
I drive 110 miles round trip to work with 105 of that highway. I've been filling up once every 5 days or so since pickup. My lifetime calculated average now is 42.32 mpg over ~3500 miles.
Notes:
- Highway driving is all green mode at 75-80 with occasional traffic delays
- Non-highway driving is typically mid mode with occasional sprints in sport
- All fillups have been 89 octane
- I have yet to get less than 420 miles to a tank of gas and I have yet to break 11 gallons on a fillup (most was 10.993).

My MCS has over 5000 miles on it now. Last tank was right at 35 mpg (measured manually). My commute is 25 miles each way. Morning commute moves pretty quickly (5:30 am), but the trip home is a lot of stop and go. For the commute, I leave it in Mid mode almost exclusively. Pretty happy with mileage, all things considered.
35 US mpg for my 3-cylinder, similar driving as above but hardly ever out of mid-mode. The difference, maybe a few days driving in stop and go traffic for early Christmas shopping, a couple of late nights caught me in morning traffic jams, and a little more anger with the bad driving exhibited by my fellow drivers induced by the snow. Just flipped over 1000km.

My first gas tank was about 25 mpg mostly driving around city.
For a 14 miles commute this morning, I got 34.6 mpg mostly highway with no traffic. (screen capture)
In the city, for a short 3 mile drive, I get about 24 mpg.
Oregon gas has 10% ethanol, which will lower the gas mileage.
I have a F56, 16" wheels with Pirelli tires.
